Product Description

Wasp Killer

The Critterkill Wasp Killer Smoke Bomb has been designed to make killing wasps and cluster flies as simple and safe as possible. Wasps and cluster flies are often located in hard to reach cracks and crevices such as in roof voids, lofts, attics, garages, busy sheds. Simply place the smoke bomb on a heat resistant surface (such as a plate/baking tray), light and leave the room for as long as you can (minimum 3 hours). The smoke released contains an insecticide that once ingested by any insects in the room will quickly kill any wasps, flies or other insects in the area. One smoke bomb treats over 500 cubic metres. The smoke will also kill any wasps within a nest as well as any cluster flies who return bi-annually to the same location.

Safe and Simple to use

The smoke bomb is HSE authorised and registered and safe for amateur use. It is a safe way to tackle a wasp infestation without running the risk of being stung. It is also ideal for reaching areas we cannot spray with an aerosol, such as at height.

Directions for use:

  • Clear people, plants and animals including fish from the area to be treated.
  • Remove all foodstuffs (processed and unprocessed), utensils and food preparation equipment.
  • Seal area to be treated as effectively as possible. Close doors and windows block fireplaces and exclude draughts.
  • Take the required number of Wasp Smoke Bombs, one smoke bomb covers 500m3.
  • Tear off tag and remove container cap.
  • Place each Smoke Bomb on a fireproof base of approximately 300 mm x 300 mm but NOT in a bucket or other enclosed space.
  • When a number of Smoke Bombs are being used, space them throughout the area to be treated, and prepare all for ignition before lighting the first.
  • Light Smoke Bombs in sequence, starting with the furthest from an identified exit.
  • Light the igniter using a match. Do not leave lighted match on the generator.
  • Once lit leave the room quickly
  • Leave for as long as possible, at least four hours or one hour per 1.5m ceiling height minimum.
  • After treatment is complete, open windows and doors and ventilate thoroughly.

Note: when activated, the smoke bomb may trigger your fire alarm. To ensure this does not happen, cover smoke alarms for the time of treatment. Remember to uncover them after the treatment is finished.
